Winter Wonderland

I know a lot of people got an insane amount of snow over the past few days. We got about four inches and I have to say that I love it.

I love living in Kentucky where we get all the seasons. The beauty of the snowfall really does make joy deep in my heart. I truly love it!

This is a pond at my house. I love how the sky looks and the snow covers the tree. It's so pretty. Plus if it's this cold, I want snow.

Do you like snow?

  1. I really like the snow too. Everything is so quiet and bright when there is snow on the ground. I agree with you. If it is cold, I want snow on the ground. However, six feet all at once would probably be a tad bit overwhelming.

  2. I love snow! Unfortunately, we only had a dusting and it was gone as fast as it came. :(

  3. I like snow if it isn't a blizzard at rush hour when I am driving to work. However, I prefer if it comes in December at the earliest.

  4. I would love the snow alot more if it could manage to stay off the streets lol

  5. I absolutely LOVE snow! It's beautiful and I love the sound of it. (You know when you are standing outside and the snow is falling and everything else is quiet outside? I feel like you can hear it. Does that sound crazy??? LOL)

  6. I love snow, but I live in northern Wisconsin, so I better! We hate summer here, it's too hot. We stand by the door and wait for that first snowfall. We hate driving in it and other general life necessities, but we live across the street from a lake and nothing is more fun than watching it freeze over, the snow fall quietly on it and literally hearing peace as it falls. Snow is a symbol of a new season with it's pure white beauty. Then we plow it up, cover it in sand and grime, but each time it falls, it's pure again. Snow angels, snowmen, snowballs, snowforts and snow cones (yes we make them from real snow!) are all part of our life here where we live and I certainly wouldn't have it any other way :)

  9. Especially the first snow of the season. Snow for the holidays and then I have to admit, spring can't come fast enough. I enjoy fall and wish it could last longer. The colors in the leaves and when the sun hits, its just gorgeous! Fresh, unblemished snow is beautiful too, but seems winter is our longest lasting season!

  11. I love snow. I love to watch it snow but I do not like being cooped up in the house for more than 2 days because of it.

  12. I love snow how it looks, how it covers everything. I just hate driving in it. it's terrible. It seems people forget how to drive in it.

  13. I think it's beautiful, and I loved it when I was a kid!
I've lived in Florida for 19 years now, so I am *so* not used to it anymore.

  14. I love looking at pictures of snow! We don't have any snow where I live. Some parts of California get snow though. I don't think I could live where there it gets that cold - I wouldn't be able to breathe!

  15. I love the snow. Especially where I live. We get a little bit every few years and melts by the end of the day. After living in Anchorage for 14 years, I like this best!

  17. I love the changing of the seaons! I do love snow when it first falls but then after that not so much! I am originally from Philadelphia but I moved to Florida and I don't get the seasons changing anymore!

  19. I enjoy snow. But also living in Kentucky it was too early this year. I want to see it closer to December.

  20. I'm not a big fan of cold weather in general...that said...at least the snow makes it pretty. My perfect idea of it is for it to snow on Christmas Eve/Day and then it can warm back up ;-)

  21. I grew up in Michigan so I know all about snow. I think it has its place. Snow is very beautiful when it first arrives but tends to turn dirty after a while. I like it at chirstmas but it is dangerous.

  22. I really can live w/o snow. Maybe a dusting on Christmas Eve but otherwise, no.

  23. I grew up in Syracuse NY . Lived there for 30 years so I can live without snow for the rest of my life. I'm 62 now and I'd love to see snow on Christmas since I am sentimental I guess but I can always go north for it.

  24. I was never a big fan of snow, especially on the roads when i had to drive 75 miles each way to work. Now I drive 15 miles each way so i can tolerate the snow. :) Last year we got hit with a lot of lake effect snow, my mom called me at work and asked if we were closing early because it was snowing like crazy. I thought she was teasing because we had sunny skies and no snow, well after work i went to her house and as i was getting closer you could see the snow on the side of the road getting higher and higher. She had gotten about 3 feet of snow in about 5 hours.. it was CRAZY!!

  26. I love snow, especially that first snowfall, which we had last week. I now live in Wisconsin, and have lived in Illinois, Michigan, and grew up in Indiana in a place that always gets lake effect snow.
I find it kind of comical how so many people who live in the midwest get so freaked out anytime it snows. I remember growing up, there was usually snow on the ground most of winter. I really want snow on Christmas, and it does most of the time. I do get sick of the snow, though. The cold makes my fibromyalgia and osteoarthrtis act up, but then so does very hot weather.

  27. I love snow but we don't get much in Georgia. I grew up in New Jersey.

  28. I hate snow. I live in NJ and we had enough snow this past winter that spring didn't come until the end of April. If I never see snow again I will be very happy, but unfortunately it's inevitable.

  29. I like a nice weekend snowstorm but not a driving-to-work-in-rush-hour snowstorm. Love pretty snow but hate the "snirt" that piles up along the streets.

  30. Beautiful photo! I do like snow though I have not experienced it all that much since I have always lived someplace where it doesn't snow.
