In a couple of weeks I'll be going to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra with my mom. It's a lot of fun and I'll talk about that in a couple of weeks along with some real cool pictures.
It's the fun and creative crafts that really grab my attention. And Pinterest isn't helping either! I am a member of a mega church and it's really big. In order to really get to know people, we have small groups.
My small group is called the Creative Crafty Chicks. We meet every Tuesday and I love it. We have the best time. We have snacks and craft. I'm not a very crafty person but they are and are so good about letting me join. They quilt and paint and all sorts of stuff, while I can talk and tell stories. Hahahhaa!
Anyways, some of us have been to some craft fairs or on Pinterest and finding fun holiday crafts to make. This week we made these cool wine bottles. Mine are the snowmen.
How fun is that? It's a great group and I can't wait to share all the fun stuff we make!
What about you? Do you find yourself going to more craft fair or making fun seasonal crafts this time of the year?

Happy reading!! ~ Tonya
I am not crafty at all but I do enjoy going to craft fairs. There is a huge one every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving in my little city. I always go and find so many new things.
ReplyDeleteYou craft, you make bracelets right? It's always fun to work on things with friends. I used to craft alot until I lost all my supplies several years ago. Haven't had to heart to start up again. Maybe next year. Just keep writing awesome stories for us to read.
ReplyDeleteI do some simple knitting. Trying sock not sure if it will work. Doing hats and scarfs

ReplyDeleteI used to be much more crafty and make gifts and such. I've gotten away from it because supplies are expensive and I feel like people don't appreciate the time and effort that goes into it anymore. I enjoy going to craft shows but don't do it much.
ReplyDeleteMy mom was a very crafty person so she got me started at a very young age. I love doing crafts and pinterest is a favorite place for me to look for ideas.
ReplyDeleteThe bottles are so cute and decorative. I wish I had a group to meet with weekly. Must be so much fun! Mbcncc@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm not a super crafty person but every year I like to buy a plain balsam wreath and decorate it myself.
ReplyDeletesuefarrell.farrell@crosslake.net
I'm not very crafty myself. I gave all our Christmas decorations to my daughter when she moved out. We are happy with our Charlie Brown tree. As we grow older, we simplify.
ReplyDeleteThe bottles are adorable! Depends on my mood at any given time, sometimes I get creative...but most of mine would be more photo related so we shall see.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely making more crafts this time of year. I've actually been saving the toilet paper rolls so my kids and I can make these adorable owl ornaments I saw.
ReplyDeleteI love to craft especially this time of the year ❤️🎄❤️🎄
ReplyDeleteI usually make food gifts such as quick breads, cookies, liquors, that kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the snowmen!! I'm sure a lot of your "crafty" friends would say that they'd give their "eye teeth" to have your crafty gift. I was never any good at crafts either, but I love to collect vintage charms and vintage bracelets and assemble my own vintage bracelets. I love to create theme bracelets.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a good craft fair. I find myself looking for ideas on Pinterest and other online sites quite often. My projects just never come out quite as I imagine because I adjust what I find to fit what I like. My youngest daughter had poka dot door in rainbow colors. I'm not a painter but I can trace shapes. lol. mball72@outlook.com

ReplyDeleteLove craft fairs! Seeing all the creative items people make into "must haves" ;)
ReplyDeleteI love crafts but I haven't done any in a long time. I doubt coloring counts as a craft. I'm a scrapbooker.
ReplyDeleteBeing almost 70, I don't craft as much as I used to. But I do still sew, knit, crochet and read. I have s question for you, do any of your books have recipes?

I don't really do any crafts but I do enjoy going to craft fairs.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to craft fairs but I do love Pinterest. Throughout the years I have always tried to make some kind of Christmas ornaments or craft with the kids. We recently lost every single Christmas item we had. . All the sweet things my kids made is gone. Even the tree. That is ok though because while my kids are "too old" to make new ones, we have our Granddaughter with us this year to make new ones. I'm almost as excited as she is to get started.
ReplyDeleteI would so love to be a crafty person. I love to pin millions of different ideas that I promise myself I'm going to one day attempt to make. As for now, I don't so much find myself being more crafty, but I do like to get crafty with different holiday desserts!

ReplyDeleteI am not crafty at all but I love to go to craft fairs. Especially at this time of year! I love your snowman bottles...snowmen are my favorites!!
ReplyDeleteI am not crafty, but I have two daughters that are and my oldest designed her engagement and wedding ring and are having them made. Her temporary engagement ring was made out of wood from her fiancé's land and a stone from Arizona is the "gem". This stone was from their trip to Arizona. My first child to get married!
ReplyDeleteI have two small children, so crafting is a MUST. We make all sorts of things from recycled bottles and paper towel roll inserts. One of my favorites is to get picture frames, mix glue with food coloring and have the kids draw pictures with the glue onto the glass of the frames. I remove the back and hang them on a wall with a contrasting color. We are going to start on our Christmas tree pictures soon. We use chalk markers to decorate the windows for all of the holidays. Anything to keep busy and in good spirits with what goes on all around us. I love the bottles...I do have some beautiful wine bottles that I use as vases.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to this new series.
ReplyDeletemarlene(dot)ezell(at)gmail(dot)com
I meant to also say that I used to do a lot of crafts. I need to get back to that. Those snowmen bottles are awfully cute.
DeleteI am not very crafty. I want to learn to crochet and make candles.

I have been going to A LOT of craft fairs & bazaars since the middle of October. They are great places to buy stuff and/or get ideas to make my own crafts! sparkle40175AThotmailDOTcom
ReplyDeleteI am quite handy at many crafts. I enjoy making jewelry for my lady friends. For some of the elderly friends I enjoy baking muffins or bread. Another of my talents is decorating glass blocks that have lights inside them. I love giving as much as receiving. robeader53@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI wish I was crafty. I'm more likely to be listed under pinterst fail...lol. However, I do make a mean rumball.
ReplyDeleteI'm not craft talented at all, but I love the Christmas craft fairs in my town ! kathambre@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThis time of year I am busy knitting Christmas themed dish clothes, hats, socks, etc. Add those as packing when mailing gifts!
ReplyDeleteI go to craft fairs once in a while. I like to see the new crafts out there, but I usually end up spending too much money. I don't do many crafts anymore. I will knit myself a scarf or make myself a bracelet once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI love crafts, but am not good at making them
ReplyDeleteI used to go to craft fairs, but now I am trying to downsize and declutter.
ReplyDeleteI love crafting. Right now, I'm trying my hand at acrylic painting on canvas and making cards.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy making my own crafts
ReplyDeleteWe hold craft class once a month-- we've done glass etching, made cork wreaths, painted on wine bottles, all kinds of fun!
ReplyDeleteI love crafting!! I am not that great at it but I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love going to craft fairs this time of year. I use to set up a booth at them but haven't for a few years. I love making things and giving to others. My kids and grandkids are always asking me for crocheted items. I have two request to do for Christmas for the youngest 2. I think when you make something it is something from your heart.

ReplyDeleteThe snowmen bottles are too cute. My cousin used to make all kinds of cute and unique things with wine bottles. I love playing around with wreaths and flower arrangements, I'm no pro but I enjoy giving them a try. Thanks for sharing with us Todd and good luck with your new coffee mysteries!
ReplyDeleteLove your snowmen! I dabble a bit here and there--painted seasonal slates for my daughters, redo wreaths, etc. Recently, I've made memory wire bracelets--fun, fast and easy!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a crafty person...don't have the patience for it. But I do enjoy going to craft bazaars to admire all the wonderful creations of the talented crafters.
ReplyDeleteSnowie bottles look so cute! I can't wait to read the new book... looks great! Just my thing .. as I am addicted to the brew! lol Thanks for the chance on the amazon card.
ReplyDeleteI am the world's worst person at doing anything arts and crafty. However, I enjoy going to craft shows when I can.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to craft fairs, I make my own decorative objects. I have always been creative so that helps.
ReplyDeleteI find a lot of the offerings at craft fairs are too "Home-made" looking and not artistic.

I find myself doing more stuff with Luci. We do a breakfast or two with Santa, Zoo Noel, Storybook Land's Christmas event, and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Luci loves everything Christmas so we try to cram in as much as we can for her.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have a craft just like yours! It is a painted milk bottle snowman face!
ReplyDeleteI like to make cookies... Boy, do I make a mess! When my kids were little, we definitely made crafts, such as ornaments and gifts.
This year, I wrapped the inside of a box and filled it with treats. It is being sent off to a service person. I do not know who the person is. I also invited a oncology floor nurse to Thanksgiving dinner because she is new to the area. I think she has two other invites, though.
I love craft fairs, but I get very tired when I go out. I love this time of year, seeing lights on houses and going to church. Thank you for reminding me of all that I love.
I love going to craft fairs. I get lots of ideas and usually buy a few things.
ReplyDeleteI cook and read. That's it but I can really cook and read! Snicker-Snort.
ReplyDeleteI go to the craft festival in Sun City, Arizona every year, it's a great place to find gifts.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really crafty except for counted cross stitch. I like to do the complicated ones that come out looking like pictures. Trouble is as I've aged the fingers and eyes say a new hobby is needed.
ReplyDeleteI love craft fairs. It's the perfect place to find great things.
ReplyDeleteMy Mama and I do hit a lot of craft bazaars and outdoor markets at this time of the year. The heat is really hard on her, so we take advantage of the lower Texas temps to shop til we drop lol.

ReplyDeleteI am very creative and love this idea.
ReplyDeleteI cook, read, write (but only for fun), bake, and crochet. I also sew, but that's mainly repairs, as I've struggled to renew my love for it after my grandmother (the one who taught me how to sew) died in 2014. As far as other crafts go, I absolutely LOVE papercraft, and my boyfriend has a habit of adding LEDs to anything I make that has eyes.
ReplyDeleteI craft a lot. Too much sometimes. I knit, crochet, quilt and other sewing crafts and am always looking for new ones to try. I always give a crafted gift to my grandchildren every Christmas.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! You won the $5 Amazon gift card! Please email me Tonyak11@yahoo.com to claim your prize.
DeleteI have always been crafty and especially like to make things this time of the year since Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are great holidays to emulate. Currently I am making a scrappy quilt.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy my craft work all year round. They do make great gifts.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been making any crafts lately. I got pretty crafty last Christmas though. I did a lot of crocheting.
ReplyDeleteI like the crafts, but I love the puppies.
ReplyDeleteI like to start craft projects, but never finish them. I prefer to admire the works of others.
ReplyDeleteI like going to craft shows, but since I have boys, I'm more likely to be at the auto shows or football games. That's okay. When I visit my mother, we like to shop at the Autumn festivals.
ReplyDeleteLove making crafts, the bottles are adorable. I enjoy going to craft fairs too.
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed making crafts- the holidays makes it that much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI've never been good at crafts, but my daughter is! She loves being creative and making things! Bracelets are her favorite right now :)
